Bromleys has received a silver award from The Christie cancer hospital for its fundraising achievements.
The firm has raised more than £8,000 for the Manchester hospital over the past five years.
The Christie was Bromleys’ chosen charity of the year for 2015 and staff organised events ranging from an Easter bake-off and a bonfire banquet to quizzes, raffles and a table football contest.
In previous years, Bromleys has also supported The Christie by entering teams into charity runs and through other activities.
Now Bromleys has received a silver accolade under the hospital’s Dedicated to the Christie Awards, which recognise firms that have raised funds over the years.
Mary McLaughlin, a corporate fundraising officer at The Christie, said: “We are very pleased to receive support from Bromleys and are delighted to recognise the firm’s commitment to fundraising over a number of years.”
The silver award is presented to businesses which have continuously supported The Christie for five years or more.
Bromleys received the award at a ceremony at the hospital’s education centre.
Mark Hirst, senior partner at Bromleys, said: “The Christie is a renowned institution which touches the lives of many people.
“We are committed to giving back to our community and The Christie is a tremendous cause which we are delighted to support.
“The awards are a great way of recognising the fundraising efforts of firms across the region, and will hopefully inspire others to follow suit.”
