Funding your Work

As a “general rule”, the costs of applying to the Court of Protection in respect of someone’s property and affairs are payable out of the person’s estate to whom the application relates.  This means that you don’t ordinarily have to pay the costs associated with the application out of your own money.  Our hourly rates are set by the Court and our fees generally assessed to ensure they are fair and reasonable.  The cost of a standard application for the appointment of a Deputy starts from £950 plus VAT and disbursements, but for advice on the costs that might be incurred in respect of your particular circumstances, please get in touch with one of our experts.
