Bromleys Solicitors are proud to announce that they have been named Small Law Firm of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards 2024. This award recognises the remarkable work done by Bromleys as a small firm (1-5 partners), across a range of private and legal aid work.
Held on 6th June at The Midland Hotel, the Manchester Legal Awards 2024 celebrated over 81 firms and individuals who shortlisted in a total of 21 categories.
Speaking of their win, Managing Partner at Bromleys Paul Westwell, said: “The recognition by the judges of the strength and depth of our people and the quality work we undertake, in such a competitive category, is truly amazing.”
Launched by the Manchester Law Society in 2010, the Manchester Legal Awards celebrate the best and brightest legal talent across Greater Manchester. Categories cover all areas of law and include individual, team and firmwide awards. A full round up of the awards along with the list of 2024 winners can be found here.
Speaking to The Business Desk, Fran Eccles-Bech, chief executive of the Manchester Law Society & event organiser of the MLA’s, said: “Year after year, I’m staggered to hear about the outstanding work undertaken by the legal community in our region. We know that Manchester is home to some of the best legal talent in the UK, and the awards are an opportunity to share and celebrate this work.”
The Small Law Firm of the Year category, which was sponsored by Lawshare, invited entrants to share their recent highlights, how new clients have given them a sense of pride and satisfaction, and what measures they take to manage staff wellbeing and ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion within their firm. In presenting the award to Paul Westwell, Stuart Cartwright, Partner at Lawshare, congratulated the firm saying “You should all be very proud and it’s great to be able to present the award to a group of genuinely nice people.”
