As part of Bromleys ‘Access to Free Legal Advice Programme’ we have run our twice weekly legal surgeries for many many years which have always been extremely valuable to those in need of free legal advice and guidance.
Since lockdown, we have set up dedicated helplines for all our departments giving direct access to our legal representatives and we have also widely distributed our emergency out of hours number – 07785 531221.
Although we are not conducting any face-to-face meetings at present, it really is business as usual with the majority of staff working remotely which we are pleased to say is working seamlessly.
In line with Bromleys ‘ACE’ Core Values – Accessible, Caring and Effective – we are delighted to announce that we are now able to offer a free 15 minute video call allowing face-to-face contact with a member of our team via a number of conferencing platforms. These are in addition to free phones calls which are also provided as part of the legal surgeries offering.
It’s simple to do and the benefit of Zoom, Skype and others is that you can use it on a one-to-one basis or as a group (with your consent) as you are able to invite others to the meeting to assist you.
For example, if Mr & Mrs Jones are wanting advice on a Lasting Power of Attorney and they wanted a family member to be present to ask questions/hear the advice, whilst exercising social distancing, then all three parties would be on screen all at the same time on their own device such as a mobile phone, laptop or iPad.
The day of our virtual legal surgeries will be the same as our pre-lockdown surgeries – each Monday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

If you’ve not used online conferencing before, we will send you a brief ‘How To’ guide which is really easy and simple to follow.
