Career Day

Encouraging a future generation of lawyers is of upmost importance and visiting schools can be a way to ignite the passion for seeking justice within young people.

Bromley’s often aims to inspire young minds and wants to educate school leavers on how they can go about starting a successful Career in Law at the earliest opportunity.

With that in mind, Rachael Frankland, Senior Associate for Employment and Dispute Resolution at Bromley’s, recently attended a careers event at North Chadderton School.

While there, the solicitor discussed all aspects of Careers in Law with their Sixth Form students, who proved to be keen and interested.

Rachael spoke with students about a ‘typical’ day as a solicitor. She also explained what students needed to do to gain a career in law including talking about the various routes to qualification as well as the importance of relevant work experience.

Speaking of attending the event, Rachael said: “Events such as this are popular amongst colleges in our local area and it is always a pleasure to be invited to talk to students and hopefully inspire them to pursue a Career in Law.”

She went on to explain that the students seems to get a lot out of the event, as she added: “It was great to see the students really engage in the event and ask interesting and important questions.”

The event was attended by representatives from various professions and its aim was to enable students to gain an insight into careers which they are interested in.
