HAIR-RAISING FUND-RAISING FOR MOVEMBER AT BROMLEYS!

They say charity begins at home but it also has pride of place at our offices in Ashton-under-Lyne, where we are all entering into the Christmas spirit!

Eight members of staff at Bromleys, including senior partner Mark Hirst, have raised £175 for men’s health charity Movember Foundation by being sponsored to grow moustaches during the month of November.

Those taking part with Mark were Bromleys partners David Hilton and Paul Westwell, solicitors Anthony Theakston, Martin Blaylock and Keith Bull, paralegal Anthony Nurney and financial controller Rob Johnson.

To mark the last working day of Movember, everyone else at Bromleys was encouraged to wear a stick-on moustache for the day in support of the charity which tackles prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Olivia Bell, head of our care team, came up with the idea for Bromleys staff to grow moustaches for Movember, and she said: “It’s a great charity and we are always pleased to support good causes in whatever ways we can.

“I was really pleased to see so many colleagues taking part and helping to raise money and awareness for the organisation.”

Meanwhile, Bromleys’ charity committee organised our own yummy version of the Christmas Markets to raise money for Emmaus Mossley, our charity of the year for 2019.

Our offices were brimming for a day with seasonal delights such as Bratwurst and trimmings on crusty baguettes, mulled wine and waffles.

The sales of these items raised money for Emmaus, which provides accommodation and work for previously homeless and unemployed people.
