
We’re thrilled to announce our guest speaker for our April Tameside Women in Business event, Tameside based Vic Elizabeth Turnbull!
Vic is the founder of MIC media, a multiple-award winning podcast production and training agency. To date, they have produced over 50 audio projects and trained almost 2,000 people in podcasting skills. She is also the co-founder and Director of Pods Up North, a conference for podcasters. In 2022 and 2023, Vic was named as one of the Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise by Pioneers Post and Natwest.
Vic has been a judge for the British Podcast Awards for the past three years, and The International Women’s Podcast Awards. She has also been a speaker at the Podnews inaugural conference and featured in The Guardian and other press as a podcast expert.
MIC media’s clients include the National Football Museum, where they produced the successful ‘Quite Unsuitable for Females’ women’s podcast that featured as #1 on Apple Podcasts New and Noteworthy, BBC R4, The Guardian and The Times. Their other clients include Oxfam, Co-op, Made by Mortals, Manchester City Council, and Plan UK. MIC was also nominated for a British Podcast Award in 2020.
