Bromleys’ very own John Longworth, his daughter Rebecca and grandson Will recently completed the Romiley and Marple Lions Santa Dash in support of Kidneys For Life.
The 2 mile fun run which is in its 11th year, started at Marple Memorial Park and finished at Marple Garden Centre.
Romiley and Marple Lions have served the local community for over 40 years. Each year, their fund raising efforts allows them to donate thousands of pounds to local people in need, charities and numerous worthy causes.
John said “the event was a ‘roaring’ success and it was certainly fun for Team Longworth who personally raised £118 in sponsorship monies on the day.”
