September’s Changes to Furlough

From today (1 September 2020), the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme enters it’s new phase. In particular, in addition to the changes introduced last month, the Government’s contribution will reduce to 70% of an employee’s wages (subject to the cap), meaning that a minimum of 10% is payable by the employer.

As the contributions required from employer’s continue to increase, many may be considering the need to commence redundancy consultations and our team of experts can assist you in navigating your way through the procedure.
